The Art Bead Love Tour is on the move again!
Stop by the incredible Lori Anderson's blog for the details, and your chance to participate:
http://www.prettythingsblog.com/2012/07/art-bead-love-tour-your-chance-to-play.html
What a wonderful way to share the love of handmade beads! Lori is the current lucky guardian of the chain, and the winner will be allowed to take up to 30 beads from the chain. They will then replace each bead they took with another handmade bead, charm or pendant of equal quality.
Hoping to be a stop on the Tour. . .wish me luck!

Susan's Soup. . .
My lovely Bead Soup partner Susan Sheehan has received her package, so I can share the ingredients I sent to her.
I had so much fun choosing the items and putting it all together. As some of you already know, I am a huge Vintaj Natural Brass fan and one of their wholesale designers. I wasn't sure if Susan worked with Vintaj at all but wanted to share my love of their products, and included one of the antique keys I dangle-out (is that a word?) into necklaces along with a couple of the tiny bells I love to incorporate into my pieces.
I included a few small pieces I've created with embossing, enameling, copper clay, and etching.
And of course I had to throw in some jade, crystal, czech glass, stone, lucite,
and other curiosities to embellish with!
I truly hope Susan enjoys working with her ingredients, and cannot wait to see what she comes up with!!
Now. . .off to play with my Mermaid!

Recipe for Soup. . .
I am so excited! I received my package from my Bead Soup partner, Susan Sheehan, and could not be more thrilled. She sent me some incredible ingredients, and I can't wait to work with them:
Peacock pearls, glass, & ribbon. . .
A very fun crystal studded clasp. . .
Some of her gorgeous lampwork beads. . .
And my new friend! Isn't she beautiful? I cannot even begin to imagine the work that goes into one of Susan's Mermaids, and feel so blessed she chose one for me. I absolutely love her! If you click to enlarge the picture, you can even see the gold dust in her tiny belly button.
Here are my ingredients all in the pot and ready to be turned into SOUP!
If you'd like to check out more of Susan's awesome work, you can head to her Etsy shop.
I've already started working on my order. ;-)
Our reveal date isn't until August 25th, so I've got plenty of time to create. I already have some fun things to add to the soup that I think will go quite nicely. There's a little hint with with what I used for the backdrop for the photos.
Stay tuned to see what I sent to Susan. . .I can't post until I know she's received it!
