No such luck. . .

I'm not in this round for the Bead Soup Blog Party, but will definitely throw my name into the random number generator again next time.  So excited for my friend Natasha and a few other favorite designers whose lucky number came up.  Cannot wait to see the soups that are sent, and what they create with them!  I will share some of my favorites on my blog, and have even challenged myself to create a piece to join in the fun.  I have a focal bead I purchased at Bead & Button 2 years ago, and I simply don't know what I want to do with it.  That is my challenge for myself, and I can't wait to share the results!

Stay tuned. . .

Today is the day. . .

This morning I am anxiously awaiting the post on Lori Anderson's Pretty Things blog showing the random generator's picks for the Bead Soup Blog Party.  There were 389 creative people that signed up, and 200 will be paired up to participate.  WHAT?  You don't know what the Bead Soup Blog Party is??  Head on over to Lori's blog to get all the details.  She does such an amazing job organizing this, I truly don't know how she does it.

Whether chosen or not, I'm glad I got up the courage to put myself out there and register.  I can't wait to start the blog hopping on March 3rd to check out everyone's designs, and will definitely be joining in the fun on way or another!

Fingers crossed. . .

Happy 2012!

I'm still trying to find out where the last couple of months have gone, but am glad things are starting to wind down a little.  I always so enjoy the holidays, yet am relieved when they are over.  Hopefully the new year will bring me some time to get my studio cleaned up, my Etsy store restocked, and fire up my new free kiln.  Yup, I said FREE!  What a great Christmas gift from a co-worker that no longer used it, and just wanted to get it out of storage.  Visions of melted glass, ceramic beads and focals dance in my head!

January also brings the registration for Bead & Button classes, and a chance to participate in the Bead Soup Blog Party (both very big deals in my little part of the world).

Still working on picking out classes for Bead & Button, and fingers crossed I am chosen by the lottery system for the Blog Party.  I've never registered before, so this could be the first year I participate and not just gaze in awe at all the increcible creations in March!

So. . . what are you looking forward to this month?
