Heaven. . .

I just got done putting in my first wholesale order with Vintaj Natural Brass - WOOHOO!  It was so fun to go through the pages and pages of beautiful beads, findings, and embellishments, yet very hard to make decisions as to what I needed NOW and what could wait.  I'd take it all if I could.  :o)

I'm heading down to a workshop at Vintaj in Galena, IL the first weekend in October, so the timing is perfect.  Jess Italia Lincoln will be teaching the workshop, and I am so excited to be working with her.  I met her down at the Bead & Button Show in June, and she totally got me hooked on embossing their metal blanks with a Cuttlebug.  I actually stopped on my way home from Milwaukee to buy one!  It was amazing to watch her demo various techniques, and it will be incredible to have 2 full days with her.  Networking with the other participants, and spending some extra time down in Galena is definitely a bonus.

Once that order comes in. . .I'll start filling my Etsy shop!

What a week. . .

and it's only Wednesday!  I made my first official sale (thank you, Lori!!); received my seller's permit and d.b.a. registration in the mail; and registered for my first wholesale account.  Things are really starting to get exciting, and I can't wait to fill my Etsy shop!  My mind is going at about 100 miles an hour, and I have so many ideas for designs and things I want to do.  Once I get the business stuff out of the way, the real fun begins!

Thanks for all the support and encouragment my friends have been giving me.  I wouldn't be taking the leap without you!

Here we go. . .

Well, I've jumped in with both feet.  Yesterday I registered for my Seller's Permit, got my d.b.a. form notarized, and I am definitely on my way.  I guess this officially makes me a designer, and can sell my wares as 'baubles, beads, & other curiosities'.

It may sound funny, but it's a little scary for me to put myself out there.  Will people like my work?  Will I be able to part with the items I design and not keep them all for myself?  Will I be able to make some extra money to help support my bauble & bead addiction?  I'm hoping it's a resounding yes to all of the above.

Please stop back from time to time. . .I'd love to share my designs and love of delightful things!
